I’m carrying on reminiscing about our spring trip to San Diego after being back there last weekend. It was really nice having an early start to our spring in sunny California! Along with being inspired at the conference for another shooting season. Which quickly changed as things locked down right after we arrived home in March. It seemed like quite a stretch of rescheduling and postponements. So it’s been a quiet year for photographing weddings! It was a lovely afternoon photographing this pretty beach wedding at Bahia Resort while attending The Hybrid Co.
This shoot was hosted by another fine art film photographer that I admire the work of, D’Arcy Benincosa. A talented team of vendors came together and created a beautifully styled and flower-filled setting. The floral arch and bouquet might have been my favorite design elements. The colors were soft and there was a romantic feel overall. It was an elegant elopement on the beach! How fitting to have inspiration for an intimate wedding as group sizes are restricted. Small weddings are just as beautiful and special!!

Shot on medium format film, processed and scanned by Canadian Film Lab.
