The location of these extended family photos could lead one to believe I went on a mini vacation to with their family. Which if they invited me along to Florida and Hawaii, as we talked about on that chilly day to have warm thoughts to keep teeth from chattering, I wouldn’t pass it up! We commented then that it felt like we were in a different place, a different city! I love when gems like this historical brick building are discovered. Especially at a time of year when the scenery is less than ideal. It worked well to provide some shelter from the wind, rain and even hail at one part of the session.
Speaking of gems, there’s a family I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for several years in these photos. They are a beautiful, loving family, are always well prepared and shine in front of the camera. It was lovely they included all of his family for this year’s photo session. A significant reason to all get together for extended family photos in 2018 was for these parents + grandparents that celebrated their 40th anniversary! A milestone to celebrate!! My time with their family was uplifting and enjoyable even though the weather was unfavorable. There were several times that an umbrella was kindly held over my head and camera so we could keep shooting. To say they toughed it out is an understatement!! They truly amazed me and kept a happy vibe throughout the shoot! The hot chocolates they headed off for afterwards were a well deserved treat. My fingers were numb by the end of the shoot but I was very glad to spend time in their company and capture these extended family photos. Special memories for their wonderful family to enjoy!!!
