It’s great to have clients that also love mornings when our schedules didn’t allow for a sunset engagement session while they were down for a few days this fall. We had a beautiful prairie sunrise and the light was gorgeous! Warm and radiating like the love of this adorable couple and time with them at the start of the day was lovely! They enjoy spending time together outdoors in nature and the colorful, fall landscape on her parents ranch by Goodwater couldn’t have been more amazing!! Photographing her family there last summer was incredible too. It just so happened that Lauren’s wonderful Mom had made pumpkin cheesecake so a piece served on her Grandmother’s china was a perfect addition to their shoot. In the summer, Kurtis ordered a cheesecake with the message ‘will you marry me?’ for their proposal. How sweet!? There should always be a celebration dessert so he was thinking ahead!
Their paths crossed during university in Saskatoon and we are really excited to photograph their wedding day there in March! I commented about being excited for their wedding day while taking their photos and they said we are excited about today as there was an engagement party being hosted for them too. I know there is lots of planning being done but I love that they are enjoying what is happening right now and all that it means for their happy future together!!
