On what was one of the hottest days of the summer, I headed to the Oungre Park for an early morning engagement session with this newly engaged couple. One of those days that you had to beat the 40 degree heat and there wasn’t any cool down in the evenings. It sure wasn’t a surprise after photographing Matt + Melissa last fall with Matt’s daughters to hear these two were engaged. I am thrilled for them as you can see how deeply they care about one another and the excitement they have as they look forward to their marriage. Taking photos very soon after the proposal was important to capture the fresh emotions. It easy to do when they are easily absorbed with one another. Happily hugging, kissing and being close. At the place where they will marry. I had a couple of little assistants as they were enjoying a family camping weekend at Oungre Park so we got a few family photos as well. Since it is a union that affects all of their lives it was fitting and special. It was adorable to hear the girls’ excitement as well for a very special day in July. Seeing sneak peeks of what they’re planning for their summer wedding has been fun and I’m excited to document that special day at the Oungre Regional Park too.
