Quinn + Shelby | Weyburn wedding, Goodwater reception

We’ve been fortunate to work with incredible couples again this year for their weddings. Being able to witness and photograph their love and the beginning of their marriage is really special! This Weyburn wedding was a day I have been looking forward to all year. Now looking back on their special day makes one smile!! They planned a beautiful, memorable day! Quinn + Shelby are junior high school sweethearts. They have grown up together, truly are one another’s best friend and make a wonderful, happy couple. I loved how although they’ve been together for over a decade, officially becoming husband and wife was important and they were so happy to make this commitment. It was easy for everyone around to celebrate with them!

I’m pretty sure that 2 of the nicest days in October we had weddings to photograph. There was still a chill in the air and the prairie wind likes to blow but the sun had warmth. The sunshine enveloped their love beautifully! As the days shorten in the fall, it works out well to capture wedding portraits up until sunset before heading to the reception. The light was golden, as is this couple! With the groom being a pilot, I loved the aviation details they mixed in with a fall theme. Shelby gave Quinn a thoughtful, special gift the morning of their wedding. Taking flight and looking forward to more adventures ahead!!

There were many thoughtful, special details included in their Weyburn wedding ceremony and Goodwater reception. The groom’s nephews and niece were adorable ring bearers and flower girl. Continuing the aviation theme with the ring bearers’ outfits and signs was unique and really cute. It was a beautiful moment when the bride and groom’s eyes met as she walked up the aisle with her parents. After signing and sealing their vows with a kiss we took family portraits at the park. Then headed south to Goodwater for photos with the wedding party which were hilarious and fun group. It was nice to have time with just the two of them before the reception too. The reception hall was transformed with many personal touches. All the baking on the bountiful dessert table was done by the bride and her Mom. Pretty sure those are the cutest pies ever made! It was a really fun reception and laughter continued into the evening with great speeches and this couple steals the show with their dance moves!!!
