There’s an acreage near Langley that we love to spend time at when we are in the Vancouver area. The beautiful home of one of my cousin’s and her family. It’s a fun, busy household that is also very welcoming! In November while I was in Langley to celebrate my nephew’s first birthday, they had a houseful. It was great to meet the rest of the Wainwright family as they were all together that weekend so it was a wonderful opportunity to photograph their extended family. With such a large family there’s a lot of people to coordinate and they were all in town for another occasion that afternoon. Thankfully with the only window of time possible for a photo session the weather worked in our favor too! The challenge of Langley photography at that time of year is rain and leading up to that Saturday the forecast was showing 80% chance of rain. Major cringe. Having a Plan B is not exactly easy with such a big group so I’m certainly glad the reality that day was much different! I was jumping for joy when there was not only no precipitation falling but gorgeous sunshine!! It kept everyone warm and made the fall colors really pop. It felt like a really quick visit but was an enjoyable, special time in the sunshine with their wonderful family!
