When fall is in the air and there’s a hint of color change it’s exciting to think about fall mini sessions. I have not kept up with blogging but want to work away at sharing more sessions again. So I want to post highlights of Weyburn fall minis 2023 and also share dates that are open for this fall. Usually I share from each session individually but with my back log of blog posts I’m going to make this a combined blog post. There are some clients that asked for their photos to not be shared for privacy reasons which are not included. So this shows a little bit of how the mini session days went and sweet memories that were captured!
I knew that we’d be leaving to Vancouver Island right after Thanksgiving so was only able to offer a couple dates for Weyburn fall minis 2023. My fall season was cut much shorter than usual in southern Saskatchewan. Then we headed west with photos to work on as we were away for the winter. The first day of fall mini sessions was amazing. Such warm, beautiful weather and lots of fall colors in the scenery.
This is the beautiful family that fall minis started off with. Life is incredibly busy so I’m extra glad they made time and came to Weyburn. Since meeting them last summer at the lake for photos, this lovely lady and I just clicked. Photography really brings wonderful people into my life and I’m grateful for many clients that I also consider friends of mine! She’s an absolute gem with a great guy by her side and I adore the sweet daughters they’re raising. Our time together this day went by too quick!
I love the stop and go that happens when photographing kids. Stopping for a hug or cuddle then off again, exploring and letting a curious mind lead the way. Out of all the times I’ve photographed this handsome, funny and energetic boy there might have been the most stops at their fall mini session. Soaking up the love from his gorgeous, sweet mama and showing her love back. The last cuddle was especially precious and I love it in both color and black + white.
The weather became less cooperative with cooler, rainy days. So I’m grateful for easygoing clients like this great family that even with a little drizzle and cool breeze were game to still carry on with their scheduled photo shoot. Getting updated family photos was most important! On a weekend they could all be together and seeing what that meant to a mother’s heart has been special!! A beautiful and very sweet love story that continues to be one I get to document and I adore their story. Such a precious family!! This was the 3rd time I had the pleasure of photographing them throughout the year. From maternity to newborn to a six month old baby boy in his parents’ arms. Their love is inspiring and wonderful! So much love for each other and their adorable son. After years of my antique baby buggy being tucked away, this was a sweet family shoot to include it in!

It has been years since I’ve hosted indoor winter holiday mini sessions but those are also taking place in Weyburn on October 26th. The bright, open indoor space will have neutral winter holiday decor and greenery from Twine & Twig and Brady’s Flowers. Please contact me for more information and bookings.
