It feels like just a few weeks ago the trees were very colorful like this and fall sessions were happening. But somehow it’s already a few months ago that these family photos were taken. This Weyburn mini session was a lot of fun!! I planned to use a more open field space but after exploring, it was these yellow trees that needed to be the backdrop. They asked that their photos would be kept for themselves until after the holidays. Photos being gifted for the holidays is a wonderful idea and it’s nice to get to share them now. I feel lucky to have been asked to capture their family.
This family was very enjoyable to photograph! Their handsome boy is very much adored and has a great personality. One of the most intelligent and all around great person in my grade was his Dad. With a few connections through the years, it was surprisingly my first time to actually meet his beautiful wife. I love that their happy, loving family also likes to be goofy together. There was some plotting ahead of time from the guys for a surprise of silly faces at their mini session. There was lots of laughter and also some snuggles moments too. We had to re-enact a family photo of theirs with this boy wanting his mama all to himself. I think you’ll know which one. They have a wonderful and happy family dynamic! It really was a fun time with these three!!
